Repair, Advantech HPAL Alarm
<p><font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12px;">Repair of Advantech model AWMA-KX200-BRE, 200W amplifier S/N AMT-B10736. The amplifier was repaired, soak tested and meet the performance parameters.</span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">The amplifier was installed by the customer and later developed a “HPAL” alarm.</span><br><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">This quote is provided for the fault isolation "HPAL" Alarm and suggested corrective action:</span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">1) Fault isolate the origin of the “HPAL” alarm.</span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">2) Test the RF power module(s) that generates the alarm for rated power</span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">3) Should full rated power be achieved, then perform a soak test to ensure that the RF module(s) is fully functional.</span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">4) Bypass the “HPAL” alarm. </span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">5) Perform a test to ensure the RF module(s) produce rated power without overheating.</span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">6) Install the RF modules back in the amplifier and perform a top-level soak test at rated RF power with both RF modules in and enclosed amplifier to simulate deployment on-site.</span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">7) RECOMMENDATION: Offer the customer the option to bypass the “HPAL” since the RF modules produced rated RF power individually and in an enclosed amplifier.</span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">8) WARRANTY: The amplifier is at EOL and it is not economical viable to repair the RF modules should they fail in future. </span><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">Comscience will ensure that the RF modules are tested and fully operational, yet cannot extend any warranty on the over 10 year old RF amplifier life span that may fail at any time or continue to operate for many years. </span><br><br><br></font></p>
